Bio:
Soaring through the skies of Letchi Island is the Ookondru. No one truly knows the origin of this gigantic avian scavenger but if the crest on his head is any indication then it would seem that he is closely related to the Andean Condor of South America. What is an even greater mystery is of how the Red Bamboo terrorist organization was able to obtain him. Similar to the Ebirah, Ookondru was being specifically used to attack any aircraft that would happen to wonder near the island. However, due to nuclear plant constructed on the island, Godzilla himself was attracted to the island.

Ookondru proved to be little more then a nuisance to the King of the Monsters and was quickly dispatched by his atomic breath and sent plummeting to the ocean.

Ookondru, surprisingly was found month’s later alive and well living off the pacific coast of South America. However, it seems that his battle with Godzilla has left him severely scarred and many of his feathers are now either ruffled or will not regrow at all. Later, during the late 90’s Ookondru, like many other kaiju, were captured and transported to Monster Island.

Note: Because of his scavenger diet and having no desire to go near civilization, Ookondru has not been deemed a threat to mankind and is one of the few kaiju to be allowed (after receiving a tracer) to safely leave the island and return of his own accord.
