Notice: Due to Theban pertaining massive amounts of political influence over the Orithians, the creature is here by perceived as a potentially planetary threat

Containment Procedure/Method: Being a dignitary and intellectual at heart, Theban is not a very accessible fighter thus can be subdued by conventional means. However, Theban commands a large degree of power over the citizens of Orith, in particular those known as the Marked Ones who would no doubt attempt a rescue if she were ever assaulted.

The beast burst forth not from the womb of the SERPENT, but the very mind of Orithan

And the beast roared its name saying “I am Theban, of the Mind, I am the knowledge of my father, the insight of my mother, and the raging spirit of all the mental capacity their union has given unto me. Those who wish to cross this land must first answer my riddles or be felled by my claws and fangs”

She is the most brilliant of the beast’s children, and would slay anyone who could not answer her riddles.

Main Storyline: The Trials of Cretaphus prt. 6

As Orthrus entered the village, vengeance and rage the only thing on his agenda, other children of the BEAST were soon to follow.

Theban, the Mind of the BEAST and SERPENT had also come to avenge her brothers and sisters deaths. Hearing from the Marked Ones of her sibling’s defeat by the claws of Cretaphus, Theban demanded that the creature was made suffer for its actions.

Calling for Cretaphus to come out to face her and her brethren; Theban was intrigued to see that the creature was despondent and unwilling to vacate its shell to answer her challenge. Quickly changing tactics, Theban informed the entire village that if they joined her and her kin in killing the creature then they would be spared their full wrath. Unfortunately this too was met with silent panic as most were to fearful of not only Theban but Cretaphus as well to challenge either one and when Theban finally realized this, she became furious by their insulting defiance and immediately informed both Orthrus and his avian sibling to destroy everything in the area.

Othrus immediately separated its body into smaller canine-like creatures and began to ravage the village and its inhabitants while his other sibling quickly followed suit from the sky, setting ablaze the entire area. Theban on the other hand decided on searching for the other creature responsible for her brother and sister’s deaths, Clarecles and fortunately for her, she did not have to look long.

Clarecles had been sheltering his family from the onslaught from within his home but when Theban howled his name, he knew that they would be murdered along with him if he stayed. Geanin protested that they would all be safe if they stayed inside their home but Clarecles knew otherwise and immediately expressed his love for her and his daughter before rushing out to face Theban alone.

Delighted that Clarecles would reveal himself so easily, Theban decided on challenging Clarecles with a riddle, if he succeeded in answering it correctly then his family would be sparred from her vendetta. Clarecles however knew better than to answer any question Theban would throw at him and was already aware that even those who answered her riddles correctly, Theban never kept her word. Instead, Clarecles decided to take the offensive and while stalling Theban with his decision of answering her trivia or not, took out one of her eyes with an arrow and immediately escaped deeper into the blazing village. Angered that she had been tricked, Theban ordered Orthrus to hunt down Clarecles and bring him back to her alive so that she could kill him in the most painful way she could imagine.

Managing to evade Othrus’ spawns, Clarecles made his way to Cretaphus to gain his aid in saving his village as he could not do so alone. Unfortunately Orthrus as well as Theban had managed to catch up with him the latter even boasting that Cretaphus could not save his village from their wrath. Clarecles however claimed otherwise and just as Theban informed Orthrus to devour Clarecles, Cretaphus began to stir and finally exited his shell to face the creatures that had come to kill him. Towering over Theban, Cretaphus full presence instantly made her second guess her assault against him and fear quickly fell over her. Theban immediately chided that if Cretaphus so much as moved then she would have Orthrus kill every inhabitant of the village. Unfortunately Cretaphus had no intentions to fiddle with such trivial matters and before Theban could make true her threat, was grabbed by Cretaphus and quickly ripped apart.

Edit: Colored version. Also added some jewelry and other trinkets to her design to associate her more with the human level element. Allows the audience to get some unconscious knowledge that out of all the giant monsters within the arc, she is clearly the most intimate with the native species.
